He felt that the legislature did just awful things, for example, servitude and wars, and that individuals didnt need government. Socrates accepted that the administration made people groups lives better, progressively requested, and enlightened; Thoreau thought the legislature removed things from the individuals. As I would see it, both of these methods of reasoning worked under the extraordinary conditions that Socrates and Thoreau were in; notwithstanding, neither would work in todays American culture. Socrates lived under the popularity based Athenian government, which was the main law based society throughout the entire existence of humankind. All together for this new framework to work, the individuals completely upheld the legislature and thoroughly took care of the benefit of the general public. Socrates ways of thinking fit these conditions consummately. In todays society, Socrates methods of reasoning would be seen as strange thoughts.
